Parikshit and Lahari met in Princeton, New Jersey for their first date on April 17, 2023. It was an instant connection. They had a great night talking about movies, TV shows, and other mutual interests, but the hot topic of the night was iPhones versus Androids. Parikshit was an android guy and Lahari is an iPhone gal.

Over the next few months they continued to grow closer to each other and their friends and families. In October 2023 they took a trip to New York during which they realized they were going to be part of each other's stories forever.

In December 2023, the families met for the first time. Everyone had a fantastic time and instantly loved each other. It felt as though they were meeting an extension of their own families.

Parikshit, Niharika, Sudiksha, Laya, and Naureen spent February and March planning Lahari's dream proposal. Despite issues with the venue and weather, on March 22, 2024 Parikshit popped the question! He surprised Lahari with making the switch from an Android to an iPhone after years of boycotting iPhones. Lahari was ecstatic and said yes!
